Our new summer 23/34 Merch collaboration with Australia's biggest queer party promoter Poof Doof!!
Location - Rude Rainbow Headquarters, Sydney, Australia.
What happens when your small business get's approached by Australia's largest queer events promoter Poof Doof asking for you to design a full collection of Poof Doof x Rude Rainbow branded merchandise with a 2 month turn around time to have it designed, manufactured, shot and edited.........you say yes!! That's what happened to us at the start of our Aussie summer in November 2023 with Poof Doof wanting the new merch range ready to launch for their first pool part of the summer on January 14th, 2024 at Sydney's iconic Ivy pool bar in the centre of the CBD.
It was an ambitious deadline and aside from custom fans we had never done a full merchandise collection for another brand before! We're always up for a challenge though and we managed to get the whole project along with product and an on-location shoot at the famous Ivy pool bar done and dusted with two weeks to spare!! We even managed to co-ordinate a big marketing campaign in DNA magazine to promote the pool parties! Poof doof was so impressed with our work that they came back to us to work together again on their June 2024 pride month parties! We'll save that story for another blog ;)
